The 2nd annual Holiday Lights Tour was put on by the Charles City transit service on December 10. Fifty five people were picked up and toured the beautiful light displays in the city on the transit buses. Christmas carols were sung by the riders on each bus and treats were given to everyone. Santa made a special appearance and handed out a candy cane to each rider. Many thanks to Santa, Hy-Vee for donating the candy canes and to our transit director Tammy Elthon and the transit drivers who took the time to plan and implement this very appreciated event. And thanks also to the Charles City residents who decorate their houses so beautifully and help make the city so inviting for the holidays. Merry Christmas everyone!
