The rents charged for the apartments are determined by the resident's income. The rent is calculated using gross annual income less any deductions for medical expenses and an additional deduction for those over 62 or disabled. Even though many times the rent amount calculated using the income based rent calculation is less than the established flat rent, the required rent will not be more than the flat rent of $410.00. The utilities are included in the rent.
